GTF Appointments

Departments and programs must give priority to GTF appointments. That is, all graduate students employed by the University at .20 FTE (8 hours/week or 88 hours/quarter) or greater to work in the following areas are to be hired as Graduate Teaching Fellows (GTFs):

• Research
• Teaching (this includes grading, lab/discussion section leader, sole instructor)
• Administrative duties (e.g., coordinating an undergraduate internship program)
