A 2010-11 Graduate School Promising Scholar, Ed is now the UO’s newest recipient of the University Club of Portland Foundation Fellowship. He is a doctoral student of Communication and Society in the School of Journalism and Communication. Ed currently has two specific research interests: participatory media and their impact, in terms of broadening Habermas’ concept of creating a more vibrant public sphere; and the media’s potential to impact educational reform.
