McNair Scholars Visitation Program

McNair Scholar visitation is co-sponsored by the Division of Undergraduate Education and Student Success and the Division of Graduate Studies. The Visit Day offers the opportunity to McNair Scholars from Oregon, Washington, and Idaho to visit the campus and also participate in the Undergraduate Research Symposium. Visiting McNair Scholars meet with current graduate students and faculty and learn about graduate programs at the UO.  Visiting McNair Scholars are then invited to present their projects and research alongside their peers during the Symposium.

Recruitment Awards

The Promising Scholars Award aims to recruit highly qualified incoming graduate students from diverse backgrounds who add to the university's academic and scholarly excellence.

The databases below will help departments connect with prospective students, introduce them to your program, and answer any questions they may have. The Division of Graduate Studies shares these data with Department Heads and Directors for Graduate Studies every fall. The National Name Exchange (NNE)

The NNE is a consortium of universities that annually collect and exchange the names of their talented students from racial and ethnic minority groups traditionally underrepresented in graduate education. The NNE student database consists of student information voluntarily shared by the students who wish to pursue graduate education. The students are in their sophomore, junior, or senior year of undergraduate education.

The McNair Scholar Program National Directory

The McNair Scholar National Directory compiles information about graduating seniors, including their majors and areas of interest for graduate education.
