Master's Advisory Committee

The master's candidate's committee, appointed by the department, determines the work to be completed in light of the student's academic background and objectives. Committee members are appointed within departmental guidelines. The number of committee members is also determined by the department. Typically, for students completing academic/research theses, the chair of the committee is a regular, tenured or tenure-track faculty member, though non-tenure-track faculty members may be appointed if appropriate and within departmental guidelines.
