Program Description
The graduate certificate in Indigenous, Race, and Ethnic Studies (IRES) offers graduate students across campus the opportunity to enroll in a concentrated program of study centered on race, indigeneity, and intersectionality. The certificate provides a foundational curriculum as well as a specialized focus in areas aligned with students’ interests.
Program Prerequisites
Highly recommend successful completion of several undergraduate or graduate ethnic studies courses or comparable courses in related fields.
Open to current UO doctoral/master’s students alongside their graduate degree.
How to Apply
Successful admission requires current standing in any University of Oregon MA or PhD program, and an approved application with a prospective plan of study.
