    Program Description

    The master of science in education is best suited for licensed educators looking to expand their educational scholarship in teaching and learning pedagogy and further their goals of academic leadership opportunities.

    The CTED MS study plan is structured around candidates individualized objectives or concentration with degree requirements in foundations of education, teacher professionalism, and research methods.

    Courses are typically taught in the evenings during the academic year to accommodate teachers in the field.

    Specializations include, but are not limited to, sociological foundations of education, cultural foundations of education, curricular studies, English for Speakers of Other Languages, Elementary Education, or pedagogy in any of the various secondary single subject matter areas.

    This program also offers a stand-alone endorsement program available to educators who hold a preliminary or professional Oregon Teaching License and are seeking to add endorsement areas. Contact the Curriculum and Teacher Education Program to learn more.
