Disabilities and Family/Medical Leave

Reasonable Accommodation for GEs with Disabilities

If you find, in your role as a GE, that an underlying physical or mental condition is interfering in any way with your ability to perform the duties of your position, you may qualify as an individual with a disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act and be entitled to some form of reasonable accommodation. If you are interested in exploring your possible eligibility and need for accommodation, contact the Office of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity.

Family and Medical Leave for GEs

Appendix B of the UO-GTFF Collective Bargaining Agreement outlines the provision of family and medical leave for GEs. Eligible GEs who provide the requisit notice as outlined in the agreement may take up to 12 weeks of unpaid leave during a 12-month period.  Hiring units should review Appendix B and then refer to the Graduate School for questions.  GEs may contact either the Graduate School or the GTFF for more information.
