This person will work with the Director of Sustainability on a variety of projects including:

  • Assisting with development of plans and reports as required by the Comprehensive Environmental Policy
  • Managing UO Sustainability website
  • Managing Sustainability Faculty Fellows program
  • Managing Green Office certification program
  • Providing staffing support for the Environmental Issues Committee
  • Writing/editing publications

Graduate students pursuing any master’s or doctoral degree may apply.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Preference will be given to applicants with demonstrated ability in the areas relevant to the assignment:


  • Leadership, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent writing and proofreading skills
  • Previous exposure to statistical data analysis techniques
  • Experience with website content management
  • Experience with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook), Adobe Acrobat, and Photoshop
  • The ability to communicate effectively in public forums, meetings, and presentations
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work accurately and independently
