Duties: 

This posting is for multiple appointments available on a term-by-term basis.

The following positions will be available in religious studies at .40 FTE: REL 101 World Religions: Asian Traditions and REL 102 World Religions: Near Eastern Traditions.

The duties will be:

1) Attend lectures three times per week

2) Teach two discussion sections per week (approximately 20-25 students each section)

3) Grade assigned examinations and student papers

4) Attend weekly meetings of GEs and faculty supervisor

 

The following positions will be available in religious studies at .49 FTE: REL 222 Introduction to the Bible I, REL 223 Introduction to the Bible II, and REL 233 Introduction to Islam.

The duties will be:

1) Attend lectures two to three times per week

2) Teach three discussion sections per week (approximately 20-25 students each sections)

3) Grade assigned examinations and student papers

4) Attend weekly meetings of GEs and faculty supervisor

(The department may decide to make some changes; final assignments will be clearly outlined in any offer letter.)

Graduate students pursuing any master’s or doctoral degree may apply.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Knowledge and understanding of the field of Religious Studies.

Interest and ability in teaching.

Ability and desire to work with students.

Strong writing skills.

Good organizational and record-keeping abilities.
