Journalism Doctoral Student Matt Pittman to Conduct Summer Research in Oxford

Matthew Pittman

Matt Pittman will be traveling to Oxford, U.K. to the Oxford Internet Institute, an academic center at the University of Oxford, U.K., dedicated to examining the societal implications of the internet. Here he will engage with scholars from various fields to gain new perspectives on his research, which focuses on social media, binge-watching, ethics, and consumer well-being. In particular, Pittman will focus on how college students use  social media to connect with friends and acquaintances.
