The PACE Philosophy and Resources

The Graduate School is committed to helping our graduate students reach their professional and academic goals by providing workshops and resources that support the graduate student experience.  All of our student affairs efforts, and in particular our workshop series (offered weekly throughout each quarter, free to graduate students), are designed to meet at least one of the following  goals:

P

Professional Development

A

Academic Success

C

Community, Wellness and Balance

E

Engaging in Research

  • Graduate student research is a priority, of course. Our workshops on finding and organizing information, grant writing, and data management, along with our research ethics panel discussion, will help you stay on track.
  • Get interdisciplinary! Take advantage of the many event listservs of our research centers like that of the UO humanities center, the Center for the Study of Women in Society, and others. Participate in the annual Graduate Student Research Forum. Ask your advisor if your department sponsors RIGs (research interest groups) and either join one or start your own.
